Though the songs are beautifully shot, repetition of frames bore you on and off, for instance, in the Mylanchi Paattu. Except for a few actors, most of the ‘first year college students’ look a lot older than teenagers. All of the actors have done their part well in a film, which has no protagonist than the idea of friendship.Īs for the grouses, the narrative thread of the film is very thin. Cinematography has made the most of the gorgeous locales the movie is shot in, especially in songs. The campus sequences are all beautifully shot and colourfully packed. The story unfolds in a restrained and natural arc, and there are some positive messages about helping others as well. We have had many superlative campus tales spun based on the theme of friendship, but Naam has a story that probably has no parallel. How would the youngsters handle the situation? Naam delves on a tale that is based on this true instance. While it was all fun and laughs, one among them ends up in a troublesome circumstance, in which he can hardly avail any help even from his family.
